Jab-feint right hand-left uppercut!

Discipline is a virtue that mem value because it is very difficult to maintain. All of our goals, however, require some discipline. Because life is competitive, and  the scarcity of resources stimulates a force in man to either create or destroy. In my case a both with boxing and blogging
Without further ado, here is today's Mike Tyson combo:

Left jab- right feint-left upper cut

This combination is deceptive and explosive, designed for a shorter fighter facing a taller fighter.

As I have written several times before, all pf the punching power comes from the legs, and it is only in our ability to transfer it through the  hips, torso, and shoulder that we can use our power.

The jab must be explosive, and like the old 1-2 , you whirl your body as if to through the right hand, but really youloading the left arm for a  massive uppercut, that I personally jump into the the target with. I litterally lift off the floor to land the shot.

Then I recover and pivot.

Since this month is all about lunges, i also preformed 50 jumping alternating lunges before the heavy bag session.

Try this combo! It's a Tyson fave!

No matter how chaotic your life gets, you will always have control over your body!

I woke up this morning in sansai thailand  and bathed under the sun. I began my daily training with this basic routine:

Warm up with basic yoga routine
5x 3 min round of skipping
5x3 min round of tyre bag work
2x 3 min shadow boxing

Today I noticed that my legs were not generating the same power, and
after some research came to see that bi latteral leg train like squats and deadlifts can cause some imbalances, so the solution is unilatteral traning like lunches at different angles or single legged squats. Today I went for 50 lunges each leg and did isometric lunges, essentially holding the lowered position on a suspension trainer.

When it comes to power its all about being able to transfer power from the base ,your feet , through your legs then hips, then the torso and shoulders arms and hands. Any imbalances or weakness in the chain of power , you will lose great deal of power. Last month i had to focus on core this month i have to focus on legs.

Suspension trainer, is a very usefull tool in training your core.

Todays tools: a pair of straps ( suspension trainer), boxing gloves, tyre bag, skipping rope

The swimmer: punching over the guard for knock outs!

After years of training karate and punching usually from a lower plane ascending up ward, I was struggling to learn the newer concept of the swimmer's punch. Many fighters do it, it looks like they are swinging but the in fact they are strategically punching over the gaurd.

To this punch justice you have wind up the punch and litteraly punch above your own head and crashing dowing into the target as opposed to thrusting into it.

The movement include the explosion from the legs the twist of the torse and the stroke of the arm, much akin to a swimmers stroke.

It should be noted that the palm would be facing down.

This punch can be thrown with the lead or rear hand. It is highly effective.

My friend is a muay thai fighter in thailand and he recommends smashing your opponent with your forearm using the same manuever.

I personally love how I land this shit during sparring against taller or shorter opponents.
